NOTE: In pMachine search is a global function, i.e. the preferences for it are defined in General Preferences for all weblogs created by you - not for each individual weblog.
In order to display these different layouts I had to create a new weblog for each layout. As such you can see the simple Search form above but when you click on it you'll be taken to a page outside of the layout.
In normal circumstances you would create a search page that shares the layout of these pages and define it's location in Search Preferences in General Preferences.
